SUBJECT: MUNICIPALITY LAUNCHES INVESTIGATION INTO ALLEGATIONS OF ILLICIT SALE OF MUNICIPAL SITES

Dr Pixley Ka Isaka Seme Local Municipality has launched a comprehensive investigation into allegations of illicit sale of Municipal sites, following a video circulating on social media.

The Municipality condemns any form of corruption and unethical behavior and assures the public that all necessary steps will be taken to ensure that those responsible are held accountable. The Municipality has no record or knowledge of any allegations or evidence of corruption involving the allocation or sale of residential sites.

We urge anyone with information related to these allegations to come forward and assist us in the investigation. We also encourage the public to report any suspicious activity or corruption to our dedicated channels or Police Station.

The Municipality values transparency, accountability, integrity and appreciates the public’s patience and understanding as we work to resolve this matter.

We will provide updates on the investigation as more information becomes available. In the meantime we assure the public that we are working diligently to address these allegations and ensure that our operations are conducted with the highest level of integrity.
